Anywhere and Everywhere

You just never know where or how the creativity will spill out. Jenn "invented" this cobweb making technique; Kari wanted to learn how to do it and thus was born "Tutorial Afternoons". Our first was held January 14th.

Branches are drilled with the tiniest of holes. Fine fishing line is threaded through them to create the radial arms and a hot glue gun is used to create the webbing. Here Jenn demonstrates how to use the glue gun ...

Mine was haphazard! You might be asking why make them? For the sheer joy of learning to do something new and to be in the company of fine people. But, what do we do with them? I've got mine parked atop the kitchen cupboards where I am either trying "to convince real spiders the spot is taken" or "don't worry spiders, I keep house casually". (Thanks Fran!)

The next tutorial is on January 31st when I'll be the instructor and we'll be doing mixed-media, free-form painting!
